Coco Chanel by Isabelle Fiemeyer. In case you didn’t know, Coco Chanel life was so dramatic! But Coco also broke many rules in the fashion world and was friend of the most brilliant artists of her time (like Picasso and Cocteau). She just sculpted her creations on her models’ bodies, without almost any drawing. Thanks to her, short hair and suntan became fashionable for women, and she designed and wore the first “unisex” garment. Coco also started the fashion of wearing big fake jewels…I read it in Italian, translated from the French edition, and there’s no English edition yet…It’s good but too summarized, and make you want to read 10 other books about her life. Where do I find them?
