I finally got to see the Italian movie Il Divo, by Paolo Sorrentino. It came out about a year ago but in DK we had to wait until now. It’s grand: great acting, great soundtrack, a crazy mixture of grotesque, humor and realism that very well portraits the Italian political environment. The movie focuses on the life and secrets of Italian politician Andreotti, who’s been around literally all my life. Maybe it’s slightly easier to follow for an Italian, or somebody with some knowledge of the never ending Italian political soap opera. Nonetheless a great movie to watch about the dark side of power.
