For my birthday Andreas gave me an amazing present: a long weekend in Tisvildeleje, a beautiful sea village on the North Coast of Sjælland, here in Denmark. We swam in the sea – cold but nice – we went suntanning, hiking in the forest, etc…
The beach In Tisvildeleje is awesome, and I really like the colorful little huts where people can change their clothes before jumping in the sea. There’s a long waiting list to own them.
Many people have private stairways going straight to the beach from their houses on the cliff.
Ah! late in the afternoon the water wasn’t that pleasant! The nights were cold, but our b&b had a stove right by the bed, and real Danish duvets, so we were toasty.
This was the b&b, a farm with the straw roof – here’s Ando having breakfast right outside our room:
Above: the beautiful garden. In the photo below you can see part of our living room. So cozy at night! The owner of the b&b provides her guests with a collection of art books and photo books to read.
That was it! We were extremely lucky with the weather, now it’s cold and rainy – although Copenhagen is bursting with events: Nordic food festival, Design Week, flea markets, concerts and street fairs. Not bad at all!
